Inclusive cycling session

Registered Charity number: 1181993. Based in Solihull, we welcome people from all areas and age ranges. Our service users include people who want to learn to ride a bike, rebuild confidence in a traffic-free environment, or access cycling with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or mobility issues.

We offer open sessions where everyone cycles together. This enables whole families and carers to join in an activity together. We also work with local organizations supporting people with specific needs, such as SENSE, Headway Birmingham and Solihull, day centres, community care groups, and local special needs schools.

Sessions are run by experienced instructors with support from volunteers. We work with Solihull Cycling Club, the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, and local services supporting young people with learning disabilities to help them build skills through volunteering.

This project provides a rewarding activity that improves fitness and mental health while helping reduce social isolation through new friendships.

Our mission statement

To promote inclusive community participation in healthy recreation through cycling for the benefit of those living or working within Solihull and surrounding areas; to support disabled people, young people, and to increase participation in society and enable social inclusion. Support people of all abilities and ages to adopt healthier lifestyles and improve quality of life.

We are a Charity Incorporated Organisation and rely on donations and fundraising to buy equipment and adaptive bikes. We have a range of bikes, including tandems, tricycles, side-by-side bikes, hand bikes, and wheelchair transporter bikes, plus electric machines including a rickshaw.

Everyone is welcome to come along and try it. Cycling really is an activity for everyone.
